Tae Kwon Do is a version of an ancient form of unarmed combat practiced for many centuries in the Orient, perfected in its present form in Korea.

Tae Kwon Do is a mental and physical discipline designed over 2000 years with the ultimate goal being mental and physical health. That is the health of ourselves, our family and our friends.

💔🥷🥋💔 It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share the passing of a very special and inspirational student, friend and mentor. Sam Anderson absolutely loved Tae Kwon Do and regardless of how she felt during her fight with Cystic Fibrosis, she always made the effort to dedicate herself to her training. With all the health issues and setbacks that she suffered, Sam would never back down from a challenge. If Sam was told she couldn’t do something due to her condition, she made sure she worked 10 times as hard to prove that she could! An amazing person!! Sam gained her 1st Dan, working hard to defy all those who said she wouldn’t be able to. After that, it was always her desire to be promoted to 2nd Dan, which she was desperately trying to train for. Sam was then fortunate to given the amazing chance to have a double lung transplant. After her transplant Sam fought hard with all her might and before long was back practicing and joining the online classes during COVID. Unfortunately Sam was unable to get to her 2nd Dan, but she showed everyone that she had every tenet of Tae Kwon Do in all aspects of her life.Sam was a huge part of Steve Tottle Tae Kwon Do. Her commitment, hard-work and never complaining attitude was a huge inspiration to many people, not only at our club but across the TAGB and her doctors. I’m sure many of you have your own memories of Sam from competitions or training and her fun, determined, focussed and encouraging attitude. We will miss her so much, she was a true warrior mentally and physically. Our thoughts are with her family at this time, especially her son Eric. ... See MoreSee Less
